a new level in ESL teacher training.
You may have this diploma accredited as a
Master of Arts in Education/TESOL (MA Ed/TESOL)
Graduates of our TESOL course may now apply this course towards our prestigious new graduate level TESOL Diploma.
Requirements
To qualify, you must earn a total of forty (40) credits as follows:
1. A TESOL, TEFL or CELTA Certificate course - 6 credits
If the certificate is not from Sunbridge, we will require a copy of the certificate and transcript to ensure it meets our standards.
2. 8 additional courses (3 cr. ea.= 24 credits + 2 credits for a Capstone Paper

The Capstone Paper is a summation of what you have learned from the eight courses, personal teaching experiences and how you will apply this knowledge in your future career. It carries a value of 2 credits.
Thesis Project
Unlike many graduate level programs, you do not have to develop a separate thesis. Instead, your summation paper from each course together with your capstone paper form your Thesis Project. You will have to resubmit everything properly formatted with a cover, table of contents, abstract, chapters, indices and bibliography. This is what you must also submit to Glengarry University to have your diploma accredited as a Master of Arts in TESOL.
3. 600 or more hours teaching practicum - 8 credits
These must be classroom contact hours in a regular school. We will require a letter from your Principal or Department Head substantiating your classroom contact hours.
Prerequisites
To register for this graduate level program, you require an undergraduate degree or be currently enrolled in one such program.
Tuition
$5250 USD includes tuition, course assessment, administation and graduation fees. Textbooks are not included unless so indicated in the individual courses. In many cases they are not a requirement as research may be done using other means.
Upon satisfactory completion of our requirements, you will be awarded our prestigious Graduate Diploma in TESOL - a very prestigious qualification for ESL teachers.
* Because of differences in regional nomenclature, you have an option of choosing to earn this as a Graduate Diploma in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) .
For a $300 fee, you may apply to have this accredited by Glengarry University as a Master of Arts in Education/TESOL by submitting a copy of your Thesis Project along with your request.
